Parent Involvement

At Maffra Primary School, we believe in working with our parents and caregivers to ensure that our students receive the best education and opportunities our community is able to provide. The are many ways to get involved and we encourage community support wherever possible.

Parents & Friends

After a bit of a COVID-induced hiatus, we're seeking to re-establish our Parents & Friends group!

Groups such as this are an integral part of the way that school communities function and we're very much looking forward to welcoming new members to ours!

If you think you might be interested in joining the fun and working with us to support our community, please click the following link to take a short survey:

 Classroom Helpers

We aspire to work with parents and caregivers to provide the best possible education for our students.  A number of our parents enjoy the opportunity to support our literacy programs by assisting with reading and spelling in our classrooms. If you have a current Working With Children Check and would like to help out, please contact your child's classroom teacher.

Morning Tea & Working Bee

Our Morning Tea and Working Bee Team is a brand new initiative for 2023. Interested parent and cargivers meet every Monday from 9.15am until 10.15am to assist with the production of our Values Tickets for our Maffra Market. All parents and caregivers are welcome - It's a great opportunity to connect with members of our school community and a fun way to spend a morning with like-minded people!

Join us in our Conference Room on Mondays from 9.15am until 10.15am to enjoy a cuppa, make some new friends and help us out with some of our most successful initiatives!

Anniversary Celebrations for our School Production

While we were locked down during COVID, the anniversary of our school production quietly passed us by. We're not ones to miss out on a celebration though, so we're looking to establish a parent committee to assist us with compiling old photographs and costumes for display in the foyer of this year's production venue. To register your interest, please contact Miss Grant via Class Dojo by the end of Term 2.

Assemblies

We enjoy welcoming our parents and caregivers into our school grounds every Friday at 2.50pm for our weekly assemblies. Led by our school captains, assemblies are a time to review the week that's passed, discuss upcoming events, give out student awards, get to know our 'Adult of the Week' and celebrate our achievements as a community.
